AccesSurf Competition for Challenged Athletes

As a part of Duke's Oceanfest, AccesSurf Hawaii will host a Challenged Athlete Surfing Competition on Aug. 24, 2011.  Athletes from around the country will come to compete in five divisions of Surfing: Amputee, Wave-Ski, Deaf, Wounded Warrior and Mixed divisions.  This year over 30 athletes will compete for trophies to expand the awareness and importance of Adaptive Surfing to the nation.  Click here for more information and results.

ITSA Tandem Surfing Competition

The International Tandem Surfing Association is once again proud to be a part of Duke's OceanFest for the sixth consecutive year.  This is one of the most anticipated events on the ITSA World Tandem Tour circuit, and was at one time home to the ISA sanctioned Tandem Surfing World Championship from 2006-2009.  Teams from Hawaii, Florida and Australia will be competing including former ISA World Champions, Kathy Terada, Kalani Vierra, Eliza Vierra, Chuck Inman, and Tiffany Rabacal, as well as current ASP World Longboard Champion, Duane DeSoto.
